A panel discussion and public lecture was organised on 24 March 2026 by the College with financial support / participation of the TB Association of India to spread awareness among the students, post graduate residents, senior residents and the faculty. The panel comprised of experts from the field of Pulmonology, Microbiology, Paediatrics and Medicine.
An awareness rally was conducted on 25th March 2026 on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day, 2026 with participation of faculty members, non-teaching staff and around 70 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The rally was flagged off by Principal Dr. Dheeraj Shah from Gate No. 2.
World TB Day Celebration and launch of TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyan-2.0 – 100 Days TB Campaign was graced by Ms. Poonam, SDM Gokul Puri; Dr. Sandeep Gautam, CDMO North East District; Dr. Anjana, ACDMO North-East District; Smt. Reena Maheshwari, Councillor, Ashok Nagar Ward; Sh. Beer Singh Panwar, Councillor, Dilshad Garden Ward; Dr.PuneetaHyanki, CDMO North Central District: Dr. Poonam Pal, ACDMO North Central District; Dr.Bineeta Kashyap, Director Professor, Department of Microbiology, UCMS and Nodal Officer STF-NTEP; and Dr. Ankita Gupta, Associate Professor, Respiratory Medicine, GTB Hospital.The programme included a brief overview of NTEP activities, trophy distribution to TB Champions, felicitation of Nikshay Mitras, experience sharing by TB Champions under “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani”, and role of Ayurved and Nutrition in TB care and distribution of nutrition kits to TB patients.
A health talk on strengthening immunity and the was delivered by Dr. Rachna Pant.A Mega Screening Camp was organised from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM, during which Čhest X-ray,screening of sputum by NAAT, nutritional testing, random blood sugar testing, blood pressure measurement and height and weight counselling were provided to vulnerable groups and presumptive TB cases.
Observance of World TB Day at the DK Convention Hall Itanagar on 24th March 2026. Under the joint sponsorship of TB Cell ,NHM Arunachal Pradesh and TB Association NE India, event was graced by Lt. General Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd.) Hon’ble Governor of Arunachal pradesh as Chief Guest, Sri Bairum Wage Hon’ble Health Minister of Arunachal Pradesh , Srimati Likha Nari Tadar the Mayor of Itanagar,
Dr.Bamin Tada Secretary TB Association, Sri Vivek H.P. IAS Secretary Health were present on the occasion.
World TB Day 2026 was celebrated by Gujarat State TB Association on 24th March 2026 in function organized at All India Institute of Local Self Government, Ahmedabad office. About 150 persons attended. Principal of SI Diploma Course Dr.G.C.Patel, City TB Officer of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Hon. Secretary GSTBA Dr.P.M.Parmar and Chairman Dr. B.M.Soni were present.
World TB Day 2026 was also celebrated by Navsari, Valsad & Dang District TB Association.
Rally was organized by Gandevi CHC staff and Nursing students of Agrawal Nursing College to create awareness. Nutritional Kits were distributed to TB patients at Gandevi C.H.C.
