The Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on “Empowering TB Elimination Through Evidence & Innovation” held at NDTB Centre, was inaugurated with the presence of distinguished guests including Dr. Nilesh Saini, SPO DSHM, as Chief Guest, and Prof. Dr. Urvashi B. Singh, DDG TB, MoHF. Dr. Nishant Kumar, Joint Director (Public Health), CTD, MoHFW, delivered a special address, and Dr. Ashwani Khanna, Vice chairman TAI, welcomed all participants and dignitaries.
The inaugural session set the tone for an engaging CME. Faculty and students from various medical colleges across Delhi participated actively, marking a collaborative step toward improved diagnostic capacity and TB elimination
Latest Activities of NDTB Center
A health talk was conducted at main hall of NDTBC for patients and their relatives on 6/8/25 focusing on social stigma associated with TB.The session aimed to spread awareness, dispel myths,and encourage open dialogue about TB.participants were sensitized on the importance of supprot, early treatment,and breaking the silence around the disease.
A session on TB was held on 7/8/25 at NDTBC main hall for patients and their accompanying attendants. The session aimed to raise general awareness about the NPY, a nutritional support scheme under the NEP, encouraging better treatment adherence and patents well- being.
A TB sensitization session was conducted on 8/8/25 at NDTBC to educate all visitors and TB patients about proper disposal of sputum.The session emphasised the importance of using covered containers and disinfectants to prevent the spread of infection.Patients were also informed about the health hazards of open spittin. Visual demonstrations and key messages were displayed to reinforce hygiene practices.The initiative aimed at promoting responsible behaviour and infection control.
New Delhi TB Centre
The daily health talks at the New Delhi Tuberculosis Centre play a crucial role in the fight against TB. By educating the public about reducing stigma, and providing essential support, the Centre is making significant strides in TB prevention and treatment.
On World TB Day 24th March 2024, Dr.K.K. Chopra former Director participated in Total Health programme organised by Doordarshan.

‘Unite to Act’ organized 3 day International Conference in Goa from May 15-17,2024. Dr.K.K.Chopra former Director delivered lecture on Active Case Finding and facilitated group work on decreasing Catastrophic Costs.
Organized Online NTEP sensitization program for DTOs, MOs and peripheral staff of Leh on 21st May 2024. Around 200 participants attended the session. Dr.K.K. Chopra former Director delivered the lecture.
