Training Courses
Health Visitors' Course
- The Association conducts its annual Health Visitors’ Course at the New Delhi TB Centre.
- Candidates from Delhi and various States join the course.
- The duration of the course at present is 9 months in which two months are allotted to Anatomy, Physiology, First Aid, Home Nursing, etc. and 7 months are spent on lectures on tuberculosis and other subjects, practicals, home visiting etc. including (I) Rural Centres two weeks, (II) TB Hospital one week.
- Didactic lectures are also held on Anatomy, First Aid, Nursing Arts, General Hygiene, Nutrition, Social Welfare, Health Education, Tuberculosis (General) etc.
- An examination is held after the completion of the course and certificates are awarded by the Tuberculosis Association of India.
Eligibility for the Course
- Minimum Qualifications: 10 + 2 with Science (biology group)
- Maximum Age Limit: 28 Years
- Relaxation of Age: Only for the candidates working in Govt./State Govt.
- Institutions may be permitted by the Selection Committee
- The eligible candidates will have to appear in the written test & interview for their selection for above course.
- The selected candidates have to arrange their boarding and lodging themselves, however the training is free.
- Application forms can be submitted between 1st January to 30th April, every year.
