Training Courses

Health Visitors' Course        

  • The Association conducts its annual Health Visitors’ Course at the New Delhi TB Centre.
  • Candidates from Delhi and various States join the course.
  • The duration of the course at present is 9 months in which two months are allotted to Anatomy, Physiology, First Aid, Home Nursing, etc. and 7 months are spent on lectures on tuberculosis and other subjects, practicals, home visiting etc. including (I) Rural Centres two weeks, (II) TB Hospital one week.
  • Didactic lectures are also held on Anatomy, First Aid, Nursing Arts, General Hygiene, Nutrition, Social Welfare, Health Education, Tuberculosis (General) etc.
  • An examination is held after the completion of the course and certificates are awarded by the Tuberculosis Association of India. 

Eligibility for the Course

  • Minimum Qualifications: 10 + 2 with Science (biology group)
  • Maximum Age Limit: 28 Years
  • Relaxation of Age: Only for the candidates working in Govt./State Govt.
  • Institutions may be permitted by the Selection Committee
  • The eligible candidates will have to appear in the written test & interview for their selection for above course.           
  • The selected candidates have to arrange their boarding and lodging themselves, however the training is free.
  • Application forms can be submitted between 1st January to 30th April, every year.
